The album is easy to like because it has that "beautifully cathartic" quality to it. However, I feel like I've heard all of this before. The
same "pretty sounding/uplifting" chord progressions have been used by so many bands in similar "post rockish" genres at this point
that it feels kind of stale. It doesn't help that Neige mostly follows the melody of the music with his voice. Again, I want to love it
because it has such a powerful sound.. but I keep feeling like I've heard it all before. The massive build up in the last song, while it
sounds great, has been used SO many times already. It's actually probably the most common chord progression in
buildups/climaxes. Sigur Ros (similar in sound) started to realize this I think and they completely changed it up with their newest
album. I feel like more bands that play pretty music need to take notes.

With that being said I still enjoy the album, but does anyone else kind of agree with me?

Ha sorry, the format of my comment is screwed up for some reason and I'm trying to fix it. I give up.

Yeah obviously. I listened to this whole thing twice and I think I'm done with it for a while.

I'm so happy that this Neige desided to stop posing as a metal head, but its pathetic that the people who run this site still consider this metal lol!

Yeah I have no idea why this is still labelled as BM. It's shoegazey dream pop/post rock if anything.

Pretty sure albums aren't individually genre-tagged on this site; only bands are assigned genre tags. This usually works fine because most bands stick to one genre, but this is one of the obvious cases where it does not.

So, you've got to be a little pathetic yourself if you honestly believe the people on this site are unable to distinguish black metal from this shoegaze/post-rock stuff.
