like I guess picking and choosing parts you like from songs are ok but to put so much emphasis on the
vocals which is (by no means unimportant) just another integral component would be a really dumb
reason to give this a 2.5 when you claimed to be amazing otherwise

like sunbather's vocalist is fuckin useless most of the time but his voice adds yet another harsh
texture in the sonic landscape of black post-rock beauty for contrast

no, but the opinion of someone who listens to thousands of songs a year, over tens of genres and dedicates a good deal of their thought to songwriting/ how emotions are being conveyed DEFINITELY holds more weight in a conversation about music than someone who never actively listens to music.

I don't understand how in the review, the reviewer says "This album is amazing, there is no question about that" goes on to rate it with an average rating. Music sure music is subjective to some extent but if you are going to write a review, defend your points accurately. An amazing album is pretty different than an average album.
