In fact I'd argue that Oblivion is the greatest worst game ever made

Every Bethesda games gets one or two things REALLY right, and almost all other things REALLy wrong.

They've never gotten everything right. But one day they will. I hope.

Until then, I'll continue to play all their stuff because every game they put out is pure long-form fun in one aspect or another

Bloodborne ost was composed by Nobuyoshi Suzuki, Tsukasa Saitoh and Yuka Kitamura along with other composers. I don't think it's in DB.

when it comes to games i got pretty deep, it's probably my second biggest passion after music. i've been playing games as long as i can remember. i just also happen to like a lot of AAA games because they're not all bad and I stand by Bethesda games still being intensely fun experiences. Morrowind has beautiful design, lore, political depth, and extremely deep player customisation and depth in terms of how you want to build your character. oblivion gets almost everything wrong except for the quests, in which case every single quest is bloody FANTASTIC, fun, well-written, engaging, and multi-faceted, and that alone is enough to make it a classic. Skyrim is...well, it basically ruins every quest aside from a small handful. It kills everything I love about Oblivion. Though the general gameplay and exploration in Skyrim feels the best the series ever has, and the natural flow of gameplay is not to be understated. Fallout 3 was, story-wise, a mess. And the gameplay is trash. But it follows a similar pattern to Oblivion in that it nails quests (primarily side quests) in terms of fun and engagement. And it NAILS the atmosphere. Fallout 4 loses the atmosphere. And loses any and all good quests, it fucked up even worse than Skyrim in that regard. But in terms of pure gameplay and as a FPS sandbox, it is a blast and the settlement system is also simple but insanely fun to use.

So every one of their games is really a push and pull of which features work well and which ones absolutely do not. It's kind've fun to see what each new game will change in that regard. It stops them from getting stale, at least.

"have you ever played the old old ones?"

Played both Arena and Daggerfall. I never played Redguard or Battlespire.
Arena is...not good.
Daggerfall is...also not good. Daggerfall is like Skyrim before Skyrim. It's all randomly generated crap. I prefer hand-designed RPGs.

Oh my god, in just a few weeks I get to play Skyrim and all its DLC natively on my Vive. I'm so fucking stoked. In 2011 I would have said Skyrim VR was my dream game, and now it's a reality.

But I do miss Oblivion, at least for the fun quests. And Morrowind, for the lore and the world. Wonder when those guys are gonna make another.

Ryan Amon yeah, he is one of the other composers, also Cris Velasco, it's kind of hard to get this fixed unless it is under the "Soundtracks" artists name and the Bloodborne as the album.
