I don't understand. the interviews? Why?

Why were they included? I listened to them and Angelique's story was interesting but I don't get what's going on with this record.

Is it truly special or is it just too adventurous. I don't know yet.

Not really hype train. Just a bunch of neglected guys jerking off to music with their self-proclaimed superiority in music tastes while listening to music that won't even fill a 100 people show, which in turn makes them unique and "better" because they listen to obscure as fuck music with vocalists who can't sing and oversells emotion.

You can act as superior as you want, but that's just you neglecting the fact that this is already being turned into another Sunbather-esque situation even though this album hasn't TOTALLY blown up yet. Once again, nothing against this album, but we all know that it's being hyped as fuck. No need to deny it in order to make yourself seem extra ahead of the curve. You're just at the front end of the hype.

Well, comparing votes isn't really an accurate assessment here since this album hasn't even been officially released yet, while Sunbather has had time to collect the votes of nearly everybody since June.

I feel the only reason people think this is being overhyped is because it's the only 2014 album released, which to them means that the fact people are talking about it means it's the next big thing.

still, this is a very good album, no?
it's also been pretty anticipated by people who are into this shit, right? so it only makes sense that some people would get really into it when it lives up to their expectations -if you don't think it's classic, okay fine, but surely you can see how it might live up to some's high expectations
but it's also silly and uncalled for to assert that people are hyping this solely based on cred or whatever lol
sure it's a nice little theory but i don't know why you're choosing to push that idea forward, here?...
and then sure, I kinda get what you're trying to do by comparing it to deafheaven, but I think we can all take a step back and say "yup, shouldn't have done that, nothing useful whatsoever was going to come out of that comparison"
