I thought that we were gonna get hand-written lyrics to all the songs on the album so I was a little surprised when everyone got one each, oh well. Shame that you got what I consider to be the worst song on the album; I got No Nurture.

"spoken word comes off as pretentious" is a really interesting critique. the combination of lyrics and method of delivery have lead you, a person who will probably never have even more than a ten word conversation with this individual, to believe that this person is pretentious. a word that literally means "to judge prior to any evidence or knowledge." making you, in fact, pretentious. full circle, bravo. =)

because listening to an entire album with lyrics that are supposedly so emotional and personal doesn't
give me any insight into 'who' he is. he's choosing to write about these themes and in how he presents
them within the music. that says a lot about a person in a more intimate way than some bullshit
conversation i would probably have with him if i'd actually met him
