I think this album was probably the most successful for them commercially. I'd say that there's a damn good chance that they

Well, what I like about Nightmare is that the band has taken its sound to a higher level; it's not a simple collection of songs, it's an album that feels, for once, cohesive and consistant. Maybe it's just me, but I think Avenged Sevenfold have a lot more potential than they show on City of Evil and the self-titled (and this evidently), and, on Nightmare, imo they have exploited it a lot more. They can be more than just a bunch of Metallica plagiarists, by developping their sound and crafting well-written songs like Save Me, Fiction and Buried Alive for example. But that's just me I guess

@ Onirium, I think they have a lot of potential too, but I think the self-titled and Nightmare were huge steps backwards. This album is even worse. I think their time has past.

Actually the self-titled and Nightmare are my favorites but to each their own, man. I love Jimmy's bigger involvement in them. Save Me and A Little Piece of Heaven are my favorite Avenged tracks
