Still don't understand why they felt such a need to fiddle with the mixtapes.
One of the big factors was to clean up a lot of the vocals to make things a little bit more present.
That's the problem though.
At the end of the day Trilogy came out and it sonically sounds exactly the way it’s supposed to sound. It’s something that can be commercially accessible.

yeah, him and doc weren't on kiss land at all. abel must be straight up dumb not to keep working with those two producers. I mean, they produced, mixed and engineered the entirety of his mixtape trilogy (minus the 2-3 Jeremy Rose tracks)

and I guess they wanted to polish the sound to make it more accessible, seeing as it was a commercial release. plus for legal reasons they had to remove a few samples
