The remaster is WAAAAAAY better.
False. If you consider jacking up the bass to dance club levels, you've never heard the original.
Damn, you guys have bigged the shit up on the remaster. Better sound like a different album or you're all dead to me. haha
If you were born after 1996, than you will love it.

But I think it's great and I'm older than 17. It's more than just mad bass too.

I know, I was just being an ass. I'm just fucking old and have a hard time accepting remasters of classics.

99% of the time they are ass. PHM is the 1%.

remasters are good for playing the cds in your car with the updated bass
but the originals and the vinyls will always sound supreme

Gave it another go. Mildly more interesting than The Slip.

That is not a high bar

Find My Way is great.

While I get why Wizard hates this, I am not as disappointed as I thought I would be. Welcome Oblivion was so damn bland and "Came Back Haunted" foreboded a terrible "come back" album, but it is actually pretty decent.

Came Back Haunted has grown on me a lot, works so well within the album.

It does sound better in the context of the album. I feel the best way to think of this album is an entity away from his older work. I am probs going 3.5 this. The start is great, but the mid section strikes me as a bit average.

The start and end are def the best bits, agreed.

Yeah, it picked back up on track 11.
I am going to give it another listen tonight (to grade it).
I hope Chelsea Wolfe's stream doesn't go down before I have a chance to hit it tomorrow.

I need to check new Chelsea, too.
My faves off here are probs Copy of A, Find My Way, I Would For You and Everything.

I don't expect to love it as much as everyone else (I really liked a few of the tracks from last year's release by her, but I am a bit skeptical of the wide warm reception of her).
That is about the same as my feelings. "Everything" is certainly the most unique song of his catalogue since PHM.

Dude, that beat and elec sample loop on Copy of A :D

"Copy of A" is my fave, I think. But I feel it is def within his style. "Everything" is just bizarre in context.

Yeah, that track definitely doesn't belong here (or anywhere, for that matter).
