I don't understand much about the technicality of music. Tried picking up guitar for a period with poor results. I do know what I enjoy listening to though, and this album pleases my eardrums.

I mean i'm not always about technicality, it's just that i've spent so much of my life listening to things in the rock/metal sphere that I know what I want in most genres, and really good music in that field makes me feel a certain way

electronic music brings up different responses for me and i guess I'm too much of a noob right now to decipher them. like, i find most of this album profoundly relaxing, maybe even entrancing, but who's to say it's not just boring me and I'm trying to justify it to myself?

these are thoughts i sometimes have

I see, the past year I have been slowly discovering that electronic music and it's many subgenres are becoming one of my favorite, if not my favorite genre of music.

Some of the best music is certainly boring in the wrong context-- doesn't devalue it in the slightest

It took me a lot of listens to get into Stars of the Lid, but that was when I was newer to ambient.

ive tried to get into this multiple times but it never really struck a chord with me

its probably just because of the listening context though, hopefully ill spin it at the right time in the future
