Surprisingly decent album. Totally didn't expect them to release something like this. Their previous albums were meh at best.

'The Living Infinite Part 1'
One of Soilwork's best without a doubt.
|
| |
Never listened to Soilwork myself, but this album is pretty good. I'll probably give this a solid 3.5-4.0 after a few more spins.

And you're a rude fucker, nonapplicable. there ya go
First of all, this is uncalled for. I spoke no unkind words toward you and as a result, your comment was hypocritical.
Secondly, I believe my verbosity was justified. I had a legitimate inquiry that was undermined three times before I reacted. I'm not into all this posturing that happens here and I was simply looking for an actual conversation. I try because music conversations happen every once in a while. It helps that I can weed out the the garbage users.

Was there a growing period for anyone? Was it immediate?
I ask because I don't like it so far.
|
| |
Well... it's a long album, so I'd assume it'll take at least 2-3 spins to get the gist of it.

But your point about the wall did not stand as I specifically was talking about separating LPs. If
you're committing to your revised point about grouping based on release time, I can understand.
I still do think there is merit in speaking about multi albums/EPs individually. Especially when the
discs differ greatly in style or quality(ex. The Dear Hunter, Baroness). Of course quality would be
mostly subjective.

you can say which disc you prefer and compare them stylistically
I'm saying, the way it's currently done on this website is ineffective. Of course it's not something
that I'm going to abandon my membership over, but I would like to see more discussion about what the
users think about LP differences, etc.
My point about The Wall is that it too is divided up into segments, 4 on the vinyl release, 2 on
the CD.
I understand, but your comment was out of context. I never mentioned vinyl and my comment was
clearly geared towards CDs.
That however, doesn't stop album singles that were released on Vinyl from having their own
entries(although I think this is stupid).

It's hard to recommend any certain song.
I could easily do a list for the amazing tracks/ good tracks/ filler tracks (mind you the filler tracks would be 2-3 songs). I have to admit though, the amazing tracks would be a long list.

nice job of missing the point entirely

God you 2 are boring. Go to some "I'm a self centered prick" site where you can wank about who's in the right all day long and get off of this thread.

This shit is so much better than most of their other stuff that I don't think if I'll ever listen to anything except this album from Soilwork. Well, maybe the first 3 albums will be an exception, but not anytime soon.

I dunno man. The vocals are just so bad. Really, I thought we were past rap rock. The guy just can't deliver anything with speed. Isn't that like his nickname?
The thing is, what this band does, even when it's not terrible, is just a total rehash of stuff better bands did more interestingly 15 years ago. So why are people into this? I'd so much rather listen to some older In Flames - there's just no comparison.
