Well filler are songs that are made just to fill the album. Songs that the band doesn't plan on using for singles etc. Which
brings about the connotation that the song is "lesser" but sometimes they're really refreshing tracks and tend to be hard
growers if the band is great.
Filler isn't necessarily a bad thing.

they wouldnt be called filler then. filler is unnecessary redundant songs that dont really add anything. if theyre refreshing no one would call them filler.
listening to something, deeming it as filler and then changing your mind is different. filler isnt good typically
