Good review. I love this album! Just great all around. The Rev is one of those drummers that just looks like he's not even trying, if only I looked so relaxed when playing some of his stuff. Great to drum to, great listen to all around..

Just awful. Why do so many people (especially the younger crowd, search the internet for f***s sake) think they are so great? I'm not going to lie, I wonder the exact same thing every time I hear a Pantera or Metallica song. Which is, luckily, not very often but it happens.

What I meant by "out of the norm" was in reference to other metalcore bands. The riffs are just so much more interesting, just listen to Second Heartbeat and you'll realize that no other metalcore acts attempt at making those kind of riffs and changing them up so frequently.
And the reason the younger crowd likes A7X is because Bat Country got on MTV and they got a VMA. COE is just so poppy compared to this, its essentially two completely different bands.

Breakdowns aren't mandated by Hardcore, I wish people would stop using that as an excuse to label bands as such. This album isn't 100% metalcore because there's pretty much no hardcore on it whatsoever.

their riffs are decent on this album, even then it was boring for me and I can't get past how bad the musicianship is as a whole. I agree the guitarists are very generic and not very talented. The vocals kill the music, as with all A7X. It's just bad.

I don't really know what leads you to say the guitarists aren't talented. They're not fucking up left and right and while it's by no means anything to phone home about, calling them untalented is sheer luuuuuuuuuuuuuuunacy.

I think the reason I like this so much isnt the fact that its good metalcore (in my opinion), but that I find everything catchy as hell. The intros to Second Heartbeat, Unholy Confessions, and Reminissions are really nothing special, by a musicians standards, but theyre just so damn awesome.
And I love the vocals, I guess if you dont like them then it ruins most of the album.

a.k.a. excellent.

Oh, please. They definatly leave much to be desired.

You dont like the vocals. You said that. And again. And again. And again. And you got.....nowhere!! You dont like them? Ok....you think the vocals suck? Ok... thats your opinion, and you're not changing anyone else's so I dont see the point here. You get really defensive when people hate on Mudvayne for no reason....all I see here is a hypocrite.

Now,I'm tired of you telling us how this album "sucks" about 50 thousand times. Not because you hate it.I think you posted more on this review than Steerike has on Trivium.
