I dig it hard the last two days and have to say... serve me another one please! What an album. Tasty riffs combined with great vocals and fully audible bass lines. There is passion here, obviously. Read somewhere in Encyclopaedia Metallum that Be'lakor is "a soulless Dark Tranquillity clone"... omg, giv'em ears cos they're deaf. I'd dare to say the only soulless clone of Dark Tranquillity nowadays is... Dark Tranquillity.

this sounds nothing like dark tranquillity lol. Nothing they've done are comparable beyond distorted guitars.

"I'd dare to say the only soulless clone of Dark Tranquillity nowadays is... Dark Tranquillity."
DT still going strong. I don't see how they'd be cloning themselves though. They have a new sound but they're def not trying to imitate what they used to sound like.
No idea why someone would think these guys sound even remotely similar to DT though lol. Metallum has some of the worst/weirdest reviews, I mean some are good but yeah. A DT review was talking about how The Gallery lacks riffs and it's just a bunch of "atonal noodling" lmao.

Yeah, I love a lot of DT, but i dont see how these guys sound like them. Now Insomnium, okay.

Yeah, I don't think there's a single DT album I could compare these guys to. Definitely a completely different style of melodeath. Honestly, most melodeath doesn't sound like DT anyway, they've pretty much always done their own thing.

Yep, exactly. You can always find various similarities between same genre bands but DT has served that -melodeath with electronic touches- in their mid era like no one else. For me the last 7-8 years DT are a shadow of their glorious past but i guess it's just me. But Be'lakor, come on! Maybe they're not your atypical melodeath but they soound nothing like DT. I hate when reviewers just don't like an album/band and use phrasal paradoxes and extremities to support their views.

Best one in terms of melody-making, half the harmonies are almost Insomnium level. But Fraught and By Moon and Star are really boring stuff especially the former.

Finally, i found and purchased this and Vessels on original cd, now i'm in search of Stone's and the first one. Sorry, but any Be'lakor album crashes the bones of the latest Insomnium.

From the breaking of the day to the middle of the night I try
to forget about you baby and I die when I think of you with someone else and
I don't know why, I don't know why you're dancing in my mind

my favorite be'lakor's album. the balance between melodic and heaviness is well setted here, and the succession of good riffs is fucking outstanding, one banger after other!!

None taken, I didn't even know they were Canadian. The song is catchy as hell though
