The first release has a more raw and noisy feel to it. Compared to Exmilitary, The Money Store could almost be called their "pop" album, really.

This review reeks of elitism. I agree that a bunch of peeps, myself included, fed the hype machine with candied words - but hey, I'm a sucker for "cool" production is all. Pseudo-intellectual; faux hip-hop hipster; shit, man, you caught me.
But, uh...you are what you eat. Which is, in the long term, your own ouroboros's tail.
Killer Mike's new album rocks. And you helped me find it. So that's something that can be applauded.
