I have no idea who the hell he would get to fill in for Dane

Great question. The guy from Crimson Glory (late 80s prog band that sounds like Queensryche) is about as close as you could get. No idea if that guy can even still sing like that.

If you're thinking of Midnight, he died in 2009. If you're thinking Todd Latorre who replaced midnight in the early 2010s, he's currently singing with Queensryche lol

Todd would honestly be a great fit if he wasn't tied down with Queensryche. I could totally hear him singing a lot of the Nevermore discog

Look’s like they’re reforming! Thoughts?

Will definitely give it a shot but Warrel’s voice really helped separate them from other progressive bands. Will probably have to look at them as an entirely new entity

Warrel also had a lot of hand in the songwriting it really can't be Nevermore without him.

I doubt it will be a new album, probably just a reunion tour. as long as Jeff, van, and Jim are back I’ll see them cause Jeff is my favorite guitarist of all time and I’ll probably never get another chance to see Nevermore songs live.
but yeah basically no one can replace Warrell.

Great news! It's on Blabbermouth as well!

Warrel Dane was a huge part of Nevermore, but I also cannot think of the band without Loomis and Van Williams, at least half of the shop is theirs.
|

Sounds like Jim isn't involved? Not surprising as he's had a bad time with Crohn's disease for a while now. I think that's why he stopped touring with Sanctuary a while back, until he quit entirely. Seems like it's only Loomis and Williams.

I'm kind of excited for Loomis to finally be unleashed again. His stint with AE was so gimped
|

Wouldn’t have minded a new project from him either, but as Hyperion said, it would be the only way to see Nevermore music played love again. I’d go see ‘em.
I saw Sanctuary immediately after Warrel died (he was supposed to be on the tour) and they pulled it off. I was simply overjoyed to hear their music

If they can find a singer that sounds remotely like Warren and can write a song even 50% as good as him then this will still rule because of the rest of the band. Anything with Loomis actually contributing is instantly good. Very excited for this.

I have never heard anyone sound anywhere near Darrel

^^Tim Aymar (RIP) who sung for Control Denied was probably the closest there was to Dane (RIP).
Imho, a perfect match to Dane should not be mandatory.

^You mean Tim Aymar? He was the one who sang for Control Denied. Repka was the guy who made a bunch of album covers for thrash/death metal bands in the 80s/90s

I nominate the Psychotic Waltz vocalist
or hologram
or do what Lynard Skynard does and put his clothes on the microphone and just dubb with Dane's vocals

It could easily be a female vocalist.
Like the one who sings in this year's Lowen album.
Or even Tania from Universe 217.
Or even Anneke from The Gathering.
