I didn't, how could I - it's the fourth best on that album for me. ;)

The violin and Ihsahn screetching at the end ... priceless.

I haven't gotten into this band yet, is this the best place to start?

This is probably their most difficult album to digest (but the most rewarding imo), with their latest one being the easiest.

Wouldn't really say that. Sure, this album is a lot to digest and it takes a while to take it all in, but it's very eventful and thus immediately entertaining. Coal and Congregation, on the other hand, are more repetitive and "hypnotic", which can be very off-putting for a lot of people. So at least for me, this was definitely more accessible.

I wouldn't say it takes long at all to get into.. Sure, it's not exactly the most grounded prog ever, but stylistically it's varied enough so that casual fans will find at least three or four songs to love immediately and the rest will grow over time. That's how it was for me anyway... and it's still the best Leprous.

hmm, Bilateral was their most confusing for me and Coal their most passionate. Congregation is their fun album, always love listening to it, but I don't consider it as difficult as this.

They won't ever top this, sadly. Doesn't look like they'll even come close to this

Might just be the album cover, but this album really feels like it transports you to an alien world. I think what makes this one so special in comparison to their other albums is the mystery and hostility surrounding it, as if you are thrust into that alien world.

compared to, let's say The Congregation, which has such a cutie cutie cover.

Bilateral's is weird for those reasons mentioned, Congregation's is just weird. Mostly talking about the music, even though the artwork can give preconceptions to what you hear.
