And the fact that they reproduce seemingly easily all their songs live, made possible by the tight rhythm section. Oh wait, made possible by all the band's work.

Also, no surprising if GG songs are rather never lenghty. they don't need to be since their songs are already very busy and complete.

Yeah and that is an amazing thing. I always became astonished how they were able to put live their so complex music. This is why "Playing The Fool" is my favourite live album of the 70's, or even my favourite ever.

Yes, Playing The Fool is all of an accomplishment, and the proof the band knows all of their complex parts by heart. The playing of drummer John Weathers is almost hard rock or for the least, very punchy and rock and roll and his beats maintain all the things together more easily.

It's a pity that some of their live albums have a bootleg sound with a very low quality.

I don't know about that. I own Out Of The Woods The BBC Sessions and it's very well recorded and plenty of good rendition, even if the audience sounding is cut out. I also own the DVD Giant On The Box. Good visually and audio-wise. it's worth the purchase, trust me.

I've a couple of live albums from them with good sound, but I bought also "King Alfred's College Winchester" and the sound is only acceptable, which is a pity because it represents a very rare and curious live recording from 1971 of GG. Besides, from what I've read on some reviews about some other live albums from them, on Progarchives, the same happens with some others too.

It’s been a long time coming to finally get the GGuts to 5 this. It’s a bit uneven, but the songs that work are mind-blowing. Some of the most influential music on my musical tastes.

Yeah GG really makes you re-evaluate music. Raconteur Troubadour covers so much path in 4 minutes, it's crazy.

An awesome album with Knots being one of the bands' best songs.

The first half of the record is simply flawless.

My favourite of theirs personally, but Glass House is very close.
