at first i was really disappointed by marks lack of vocal presence but then i realized they really utilize him better as an embellishment rather than the main focus

The guitar isn't as aggressive as it used to be and has too much reverb. Way too much "atmosphere." If they used the same ideas in a more straight fore ward, aggressive and raw form like in their first few albums this would be just as great as the self titled.
