Arch brings this down for me. I've never been able to digest his vocals. Love Alder

I appreciate the fact that his voice sounds just like it did decades ago. But his melodies are so odd, and he stays in the higher register for too long and sounds whiny almost. Exhausting.

Alder has a better timbre and much more interesting melodies imo

I don't know the fact that they're completely off kilter and out of tune is what brings life to some of these tracks like on the chorus for the first song. Alder for me is more cold and melodic which works better on Perfect Symmetry than what Arch's vocals would have sounded like on those tracks. Like Disconnected wouldn't have worked with Arch. At all.

Oh yeah, I don't think Arch would have worked on any of the experimental albums like Grey or Disconnected. That's the thing, I think Alder and Zonder helped Matheos take the band in a more varied direction

Jamming after a while. Damn good. Production is really strong, especially Bobby's drums.

This should have been a fates record. Would have loved to hear this with Ray. Arch is just exhausting and I just can't get into his vocals

He would provide the variation that Arch lacks. Arch has two vocal styles. High pitched, and super high pitched
