if u like this band, cool. whatever floats ur boat. but this album isn't even in the same league as an album like Legion. this is some artsy fartsy metal that isn't pushing any boundaries, unlike the hellish assault of a genre defining album like Legion.

Brutal is a subjective term. For instance I feel Encoffination's latest LP is brutal but not in the way people typically view "brutal" in metal. It doesn't have blistering fast riffs and fast tempos and shit ect. But the emotional aspect o f it is brutal imo.

on paper Encoffination has the same sound as many others but they create a stronger atmosphere than their contemporaries. idk why im telling this to a musical noob though, you know nothing about atmosphere.
