Nice review. Couldn't wipe the grin off me face the whole time! Working in a record shop in Australia, the worst part of my weekly tasks is the Weekly ARIA Album Chart Count.....



The other week I saw the 'Royal Wedding' Sountrack (if you can even call it that) at 20 of the top 40 and it made me sh*t me pants... The eerie realisation that I may be stuck on an island....fulla dumb f*cks.



I Swear if I see This album enter my shop.....let alone the ARIA charts...... God Help Me.....

Yeah, I know. But still your pie chart says metal wins out.

the pie charts are useless for a number of reasons:

1. They're entirely inaccurate. I definitely have enough grind albums rated to merit 2 or 3% grind, yet that doesn't show up.

2. We don't have a post-metal or progressive metal section, so people end up tagging bands as "metal, progressive" or "metal, post-rock" and thus metal shows up on the pie chart.

3. It seems to only input higher ratings and my metal ratings are overinflated.

also for some reason I kept spelling metal "meatl." Every single instance I had to go back and fix.

Haha, I hate so much of metal. I listen to a lot of different stuff but "metal" and hardcore is the mainstay. One man's metal can be a very very different thing compared to another's, its a broad term. If you stick to the more DIY punk side of metal, or the atmospheric side then that's my metal.

I still cringe when I see a shitty metal band in the news or reviewed on the front. I hate Bullet For My Valentine ALMOST as much as I hate this band.

tbh I do like the occasional black metal record, and the very occasional death record. But I really grew out of the whole metal phase this past year. It's weird how I'm in my 20s and still growing up >.>

I love black metal and death metal still but my taste for it since highschool is way different. I'm into lo-fi shit in any style of music but especially in metal.
