the artwork on the inside is pretty cool too, if you have the cd.

yeah I got this and Deconstruction together for $21.99 off Amazon. Devin's one of the few artists I'll shell out money for, unless it's a vinyl

I'm still bothered by the length of the record. 72 minutes of ambient rock is a bit ridiculous. He could've cut off at least a few of the more boring tracks toward the end of the record and made it a much more cohesive work. But there's still enough great content here to make me 4/5 the record as a whole and just ignore the 15 minutes I don't like. Which sounds weird and inappropriate, until you remember how long this thing is.

I think the last 3 songs are some of the best, especially Infinite Ocean. In my opinion Texada could be about 3 minutes shorter and As You Were could have a bunch of its middle section cut out and then this would be a 5.

I think that after Blackberry the album certainly takes a bit of a nosedive. Last two tracks are great through, as well as that opening progression on Seams but after that the song kinda gets stale.

I'm so toking up and listening to this on surround sound speakers tomorrow. Maybe it'll wow me then.
