Nah, to be honest, it stays pretty true to the original. They didn't slow it down though.
It's just got some great vocal harmonies.

Like in every decade I reckon there's about four or five perfect pop songs, which just capture the mood of the time effortlessly and are timeless today and have almost universal appeal among fans of pretty much every genre. Obviously it's a rare thing but it does happen. And Head Over Heels is just the fucking best song of that bunch

"Everybody Wants to Rule the World is superior."

Once in a Lifetime is a great call, best chorus ever
other pop songs I'm thinking of in that category would be like
60s: Here Comes the Sun, God Only Knows
80s: Head Over Heels, Just Like Heaven, It's the End of the World As We Know It
90s: idk Teardrop? bit of a stretch as a pop song but fits the timeless thing
00s: Hey Ya, Feel Good Inc

Album Rating: 5.0
there are at least 3 from the blue album that'd be competing for that title
then you got 1979, In Bloom, Enjoy the Silence, All that She Wants, Freedom '91, Beetlebum
Plenty from the 90s, really
