I Trawl the Megahertz is an amazing piece, I wouldn't mind hearing more post-rock/modern classical/whatever from them, much as I love their pop rock.

Admittedly, I think that was a one-time deal after it absolutely flopped and his label forced him to release it under his own name.

Simply one of the greatest albums ever made. Paddy is my biggest songwriting inspiration.

Bonny is a lesson in gorgeous pop songwriting at its best. That instrumental bridge in the middle especially is one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard in a while. The way the piano gets more prominent after the bridge really adds to it too.

Appetite coming right after is also ridiculous, probably the band’s two best songs back-to-back.

I actually have more affection for the first four songs on 'Jordan' - but the first four here are impeccable agreed

those are the tits, but I've come around to the opening four on Langley Park as well - four straight pop singles that just blow you away

Maybe after The King of Rock n' Roll, not a bad song but one of my least favorites from them. This has the best opening few tracks of all their albums, but Jordan is close in that regard too.

I've warmed up to King of RnR -- it's very much the quintessential pisstake/joke song and I can't see Langley Park opening any other way. Jordan otherwise has the best opening tracks by far, although I'd say Swoon is second in this regard (Don't Sing and Cue Fanfare? Any other group and that'd be considered their finest tracks)
