"when this came out i fucking loved it. at this time, i was also suffering from a bad case of guitarmasturbationitis. it is quite a common disease, and affects somewhere between 70 - 75% of all guitarists at some point throughout their life. for some it is just a phase, for others a lifelong affliction. symptoms include: practicing sweep picking for hours on end, arguing over which bands' guitarist is better, making lists on sputnik of 'favourite solos' (solos being short for guitar solos, after all), and accepting protest the hero as a serious band.
it took a little time, but eventually i recovered from my illness. i am one of the lucky ones.
