"Harmonia" is awesome. The rest? Eh...

I knew I'd dislike this, but I didn't know it would be this awful.

Might 1 this.

I don't care about their personal douchebaggery. This really is that bad.

And the interview where they talk about transcendental bm made me lol

I don't mind this album, it's just not that great. Their interviews make them seem like they're "breaking the boundaries of black metal", when, yes, they do establish a bit of a new approach, but they execute it kind of poorly.

Some songs on here rule hard though

maybe this is just me, but this album has a tendency to start something really bad/ and or uninteresting and then just repeat it over and over again without building off of it or developing the idea. Some American black metal has a tendency to "lack direction" (which is a stupid criticism to begin with) but this never even leaves home.

the video for Returner is the worst piece of shit ever

This is the musical equivalent of water which has been watered down.

best black metal album of the year. Hunter-Hindrix (or whatever his name is), sounds like a total douche. But it's painful for me to say that the music is still damn good.
