Don't know why people think it's a Summer album. I found it very sad. =(
And I too don't get the love for 'Skinny Love' (See what I did there?)
I always found Re:Stacks and Blindsided better. =)

well exactly; 'skinny love' as a stand alone track was only the previous album's standout in the sense it achieved considerably more radio play and immense popularity compared to other tracks. I dont think any of the tracks on this new album will differientiate itself in that same way. This is not a comment on whether any one song or album is better than the other ones, just the way the general public will prob receive the new album and its songs.
IMO 'skinny love' is definitely one of best songs on For Emma, but i agree certain other songs on the previous album were just as good if not better, and this new album lives up again.

I'm not going to try and compare this to his other releases but I will say I really love the arrangements on this musically. Having a full band this time around makes everything much more full sounding and it definitely feels like a logical progression to my ears anyways.

4 best songs on For Emma (in no order) are Lump Sum, Creature Fear, The Wolves, and For Emma. Every single one puts me in a trance every time.
