Cave In's best are better than anything OMG but OMG is far more consistent in their quality of output, IMO.

This saddened me quite a bit. I was so excited for new music from Cave In and looking forward to seeing them live...

I'm not sure if Cave In have written any new music in between White Silence and now, but Hydra Head's going to be releasing new/unreleased music (and presumably the final recordings Caleb recorded) under the Zozobra project and reissuing the Zozobra albums on vinyl with the proceeds going to Caleb's family.

Saw Cave In live in Boston once. Their album concepts don't translate well live I think
RIP

I think they might've been writing because they posted pictures of them all hanging out together a few times, but they're friends so that could mean nothing.

Santos did post on facebook that old man gloom will continue to make music in honor of caleb though

Brodsky mentioned in that interview that they were working on new stuff, but I honestly don't see them continuing without Caleb. Santos, on the other hand, did confirm OMG will continue though and I hope they do Caleb proud.

"I honestly don't see them continuing without Caleb."

I don't think so either. At the very least, I think they have it in them to put out one final release (a mini album/EP or single) in honor of Caleb. I think at this point, it's well established that Mutoid Man is Brodsky's main band now and Adam McGrath now plays w/Jacob Bannon's Wear Your Wounds project at least as a live guitarist.

If it's anything like the tribute show I just saw, the whole room will be in tears.

Album still needs more attention. IMO the average should be 4.2 or even 4.3
