so yeah this is pretty cool so far, on the 2nd track and its kicking the first one's ass.

Yeah this actually is quite good. The songs blend together a bit but the inclusion of ambient interludes makes it work.
The first song was easily the worst also.

There's a whole lot going on, really good attention to detail. I figured this would be overrated after hearing the lackluster first song but the rest of the album is really good.
Just to compare so-called "progressive deathcore," This > The Contortionist's "Exoplanet" imo, though the best moments on Exoplanet are better than the best moments on this.
