"I'm not taking this seriously because apparently neither did the band"

deviant, you couldn't be more wrong. i read an interview w/ rody and he confessed that tandem is the most personal song he's ever written in his entire life.

willfellmarsy is so bothered by this album, it's amazing. it's like he's taking the lyrics (like, three lines about jerking off) as a personal attack on him.

I agree with Rody about Tandem being the best on the album.

I thought Keiza was alright and Fortress was technically admirable and fun. Should I buy this?

Yes, this album is both technically admirable and fun as hell.

I think the word "buy" has lost all meaning in the context of digital media.

"shitty as hell live"

I've seen them twice. They sucked the first time because they had just flown back to Vancouver from Estonia for the Junos (Fortress nominated for best rock album, lulz, Nickelback probably won) and all their equipment was still in Europe. All you could hear was bass and crash cymbal, terrible sound. They were also all jetlagged and boring that night; very little crowd interaction and no encore.

The second time was tiiiiiiiiiiiight. Someone threw an egg at the stage from probably 100 metres back and nailed Arif right in the face and exploded. He didn't miss a note, it was kickass.

I don't understand the point of buying digital songs as well.

You pay then you get some goods.

I don't see how it is that it lost meaning.

if I'm gonna bother paying for music, I'll be buying the CD or the vinyl or something that can't be found in a nanosecond for free on the internet

Paying for a physical album you can touch and feel, yeah, I do it all the time.

But for some megabytes? Especially when the album is no more than a "Google search + mediafire" away?

pretty sure the only people who do that are douchebags that just want continue to look down on all us file-sharing vermin from their high horses.
