I like Incommunicado, but I wish they had made the full song with the intro and outro.
The intro is incredible, and I always feel disappointed when it transitions into the verses.

Hated it on release but it morphed into my ultimate night time listen . Took a few years though but its fermented perfectly . Maybe in just darker as i get older and the subject seems a tad more relevant than when i was a trouble free teenager .

I don't think so. Childhood is a pure bliss from ''Lavender'' to its ending. And here, there are some ordinary songs.

edit: I just bumped up the rating cos it obviously rules for the most part.

First time I found myself wanting to 5 a Marillion album, but I need to relisten to it many times again before that

this and script are my faves, followed by childhood, and then fugazi which lags behind

Fugazi has the dark side and the early Genesis vibe of Script, but you can already detect a kind of pop orientation that they would explore still more with Childhood (for a great effect).

Clutching wins big points from me. But I still think Misplaced Childhood leads the way. Next is probably Script. Clutching has a bunch of fantastic tracks too, but I don't have big pleasure to listen to the album as a whole, compared to Childhood. It took me some time to appreciate. One thing is sure, Fugazi is now my least favorite of the Fish era. They are all classics for sure.

"Secondly, there are a few weaker tracks. That Time of Night and White Russian simply fail to grab me. Don't get the wrong idea, they are not bad and I've read on various sites that White Russian is the standout track for many, however, I find them mostly boring."
