It's cool to see a newer band come out with something that doesn't suck!

I like quite a few of the tracks, like Dimension, quite a lot but the album as a whole didn't really take me.

I wasin walmart yesterday and saw "wolfmother" sitting on the shelf, but the cover was very different to the one on this site?

Maybe it was their EP?
Wolfmother can be summed up more like 20% Led Zeppelin, 20% Black Sabbath, 20% Deep Purple (on their Machine Head album), 10% Doors, and 30% their own sound.
Even if we go out on a huge, wavering limb, and give them 30% of their own originality, that still leaves 70% that is 71.4% rooted in generic boring classic rock. That still is an unfortunate mix.

why do you have to compare it to music that was made 30 years ago, if you use that mentality no band will ever be original or have 'their own sound' you spastic

perhaps you should read my message a bit closer fairyboy. i never said that bands aren't original or don't have their own sound. i said that new bands are compared or likened to music made years ago and therefore hacks like that bloke above label them as being unoriginal

You can't deny Wolfmother's similarities though, which is probably why they've been comparing it. Wouldn't you do that if you heard a Zeppelin clone? Its already been done before.

Boofhead you're obviously some sensitive Australian who has an inexplicaple nationalisitc tie to the crappy Wolfmother. Get over it.

Why did you give your favorite track a 4.5 and a few others 5s? That doesn't make much sense.

But besides that, good review. WM rock live.

I apologize.

I'm going to review this, to make up for it. I think this needs something other than three track by track's with the same opinion.

Granted, there are similarities between wolfmother and led zeppelin, i can't deny that.

I agree with fat al, they do rock live.

As for DFelon, judging by your picture and your relative unintelligence, you are either black, american or a muslim (potentially all three).

good luck to you...
