I do.

Regarding the name, Baalism can also refer specifically to the worship of Baal, and Intestine can mean "Within" or "Internal" or "Inside" when used as an adjective (its latin root word also means "within", "on the inside")

So the name could mean "Within/Inside the worship of Baal", or something to that effect.

the t/t and Cannibal Sodom go pretty hard huh. They have a decently satisfying sound going on here

I probably subconsciously avoided these guys until now because of their name, so it's interesting to realise it doesn't actually have anything to do with intestines, lol

cannibal sodom is one of the best melodic death metal songs ever

lead riff on the title track is one of the catchiest things

But that means missing out on Cenotaph, A Canorous Quintet, early Sentenced, Garden of Shadows, Vehemence... and ya know, so on so forth.

yeah but most of those sans a canorous quintet (who I don’t really like) are death metal that is melodic. there’s a significant different between the two and this is the only band that I can fully describe as “melodeath” that is actually decent.

Michael amott formed arch enemy to answer the question “what if carcass was good?” and the answer was actually pretty great.

They were great in the 90s but their peak was pretty short. After Wages of Sin they just became so predictable.

i like everything up to anthems of rebellion. anthems is very modern sounding but still has a bunch of great riffs.

wages of sin is their best though. full to the brim will killer riffs. basically heartwork without bill steer playing dogshit cockrock riffs every song.
