i dont think so. second to sun had some stuff on it that sounded like it could be from veil of maya, and they have a couple of generic riffs throughout the album. still good though.

I listened to Atheist and was excited about this album because of how it would follow up to Elements, but this is as big of a letdown as I could have imagined. Nothing stands out, just another straightforward death metal record that there are already plenty of which we know Atheist is capable of much more than. It doesn't even begin to compare to Unquestionable Presence or Elements.

The first couple songs on Unquestionable Presence are classics but their greatness isn't equaled in the second half of the album. This is solid throughout.
