Am I the only one that can't stand the singers voice? Also, I think the songs sound odd in a way that I feel like I'm on drugs when I'm listening to them. They just sound so different than anything else.

You are far from the only one who can't stand his voice haven't you been reading this thread

@josh i wouldnt avoid this because of the tom waits description. i dont like tom waits but i love TS and the vocalist.
the waits comparisons are understandable but theyre different enough for you to like one and not the other, and plus the musical backdrop for the vocals on here make them work way differently than waits's vocals.

His gruff vocals are awesome but his singing voice is beyond bland

Hahaha might scare the shit out of him.
But really, people have different tastes, some have an open mind some don't.
Too much bickering on this site lol

This sounds NOTHING like Tom Waits (thank goodness). Actually it sounds quite interesting.
And I don't get the reviewer's comment about 'pop punk drivel', why should ALL pop punk be considered drivel?

Holy fuck, I just listen to Nausea, gave myself a second to adjust to the singer's vocal style, then wow, this is great. I
think I found a new band to like. I'ma for sure get this. So could someone tell me what else in their discography is
worth getting?

I would definitely say get Bad Luck. It's fairly similar in style to this album (a bit "heavier" maybe?) and is easily my album of the year for 2009 (even better than this, in my humble opinion). Alphabet. Alphabets can go either way for you, as it's a bit more post-hardcore-y. It has some great songs, some filler and overly shiny production, but is definitely worth a listen. I have some mad love for Goodnight Alchemy, with Lesson 3 still being one of their best songs. Some think Hospital Music is still their best record and a post-hardcore masterpiece. I wouldn't go quite that far, but it's definitely superb (especially since they were like 18 or 19 when they made it).
In my opinion, they have been remarkably consistent in quality while shifting styles (some will argue Alphabets is bad, but I disagree). Get them all, starting with Bad Luck, then Hospital Music and/or Goodnight Alchemy, then Alphabets. And if you still love them, check out Darts to the Sea for discography-completion purposes.

And do buy their stuff. Support great music, as they almost broke up for financial reasons in 2008.

I downloaded this a week or so ago and have yet to even begin to listen to it.
