Agreed, this has only grown on me with the years (and I kinda loved it when I first heard it).
I love how 'With a Cold, Life Extinguishing Elegance' kinda turns into a laid-back, swampy slide-fest by the end. So few do what these guys do.

Thanks, holmes. I don't think an album has had me as immediately interested as this did. Had to put it on for my drive to work. Gonna check Heathen as soon as I get some free time.

Not their best but a great album for sure. By Endurance We Conquer is a stellar opener.

Heard Tyrant a few years ago, then forgot about it. Will have to remedy that.

I probably will go chronologically. I like to see how a band changes over time. If I hadn't listen to this LP first I might mix it up a bit.

Am I cool to just check their EPs after I go through the LPs? Or is there anything essential to pepper in?

The comps are groups of EP. I think you can check them whenever, they're pretty independent of the LPs, although depending on when the songs were written you can hear some similarities to various LPs.

Cool, I'll save them for after I get through the LPs. Pretty stoked to get more into them.

I made a Thou ranked list not long ago dbizz that you can see how I feel about their discog thus far

and space is right. for example, Oakland is before and between the Tyrant and Peasant sessions, Rendon is between and after Peasant. Algiers is between and after Summit and Heathen.

edit: yea ballsdeeps is right, do not miss that split, it's one of the heaviest things Thou has been a part of.

I'll totally be checking that collab when I get through Thou's discog. I saw The Body open for Alcest and it was fucked. I'd never seen or heard anything like that. I don't know how much I was into it, but it definitely... affected me????
