Good question fr33convict, I really don't know. A bunch of people think of it as a good gateway metal album, but aside from that, I have no idea.

"Liberate" is a great song, and there's one more that's cool but the rest is kind of average or worse. That was also the album where they decided they wanted to be Creed.
Indestructable > TTF > The Sickness > This > Believe

Believe is thier transition record. It might have sounded weird to you then but if you look back at it you'll see it's laid the
framework for Disturbed ever since.

Nice review Contributorstyles but Disturbed really aren't my thing, except for the odd OOOOO-AH-AH-AH.

I do think they could benefit from bringing more of Believe's style into what they're doing, it would create more variation. I mean, this will sound weird from a guy who generally favors the heavier sides of bands, but.... Less rockin', little more smooth melody here and there. Which is why I liked that he brought back more of his soft vocals here and there on this album. Can't ALWAYS rasp it all out rhythmically.
