4 out of 5 seems a bit high. Preferring this over any of their others doesn't make sense to me. The longer tracks are excellent, main draw of the album imo.

I'd take this over anything from Deadwing on tbh

Hard disagree, but I will also say that I don't think this is as bad as a lot of people say it is. Radioactive Toy, Nine Cats, This Long Silence, And the Swallows Dance Above the Sun, and Footprints all kick ass. It's the filler that brings this one down for me, especially the really silly shit

Agreed. UtD and TSMS really perfects their psychedelic rock identity, the latter (deluxe version with Stars Die) being my favorite besides IA.

This is my first time listening to this one (stayed away because of all the hate) but I have enjoyed every second so far and I'm halfway through. Sure its disjointed but that's the charm in it for me

phew that was a close one...

almost skipped this - glad I didn't... I mean fuck you'd think there's like something wrong with this album or something the way you guys gave it that 2.9 average

Starting a discog run for the week and was reminded how pleasant Jupiter Island is on this record.

Yeah, the 2.9 avg always seemed a bit hyperbolically low. I think the majority here is good to great, it just has the lowest lows in their discog by far
