This is my favorite album by Kanye, such a lovely piece of work.
And yes, Gone is one of Yeezys best.

Ya, Consequence kills it in that song.
|
| |
Long overdue I check this out #4Yeezy
|
| |
It's his second best

I got bored halfway through, paused it to focus on something else then accidentally forgot about this and started listening to something else. I guess that sums up my feelings at the moment but I'll listen again later.
Heard 'Em Say is good though.

Do you listen to it with lyrics? I'd assume so but this album has some really strong written tracks.
Check out;
Roses
Hey Mama
Gone
|
| |
I didn't get to any of those except Roses
I stopped around Bring Me Down
I wasn't able to pick up all the lyrics because English isn't my first language and I'm not that good at hearing it, but it seemed fairly standard for Ye'. From his lyricism I mainly enjoy the punch lines and his delivery, which kinda felt a little flat here compared to how much energy he puts in his most recent albums.

You should check out a site called Rapgenius it annotates and presents lyrics from songs, it's good.
also as I said I can understand what you mean, I still love the album though.
|

I know Rapgenius, I use it all the time lol. But I don't like reading lyrics along with an album the first time I'm listening to it cause I'm not familiar with the sound yet and it can be too distracting, I'll read 'em later.

I was just thinking that earlier today. My rating has fallen from a 4 to a 3. Weird!

It's best to listen to in short bursts, it's not the kind of album meant to be listened to very often, I still love it though

This is like pop rap.
Kayne is beyond overrated as a rapper and a producer. He is very average producer and the majority of his lyrics are garbage. One thing he is good at is being a tool.
There is one memorable track on this album and that is Touch The Sky. The beat is actually good and the lyrics are half decent.
This is one of the worst albums I have ever purchased.
Uninspired trash.
