I get to the show and a pretty sweet local band is opening that I've seen before. Coolio. Next up, some horrible chuga chuga band with breakdowns every other riff and prerecorded vocal tracks and prerecorded guitar leads and bass comes up next. I listen to two songs and decide I'd rather not subject myself to this torture anymore and leave. I come back for ALLB and it turns out they switched time slots with Lions Lions. I don't give a shit about them so my buddy and I decide to do a Taco Bell run since we have a ton of time and ALLB aren't going on until 10. We get back and make it to the venue and ALLB are in the midst of playing the new song they released. Sweet, they are opening with the new song and we didn't miss much. They play a second new song and it is easily the heaviest thing they've ever written. Fast, aggressive as fuck and it ends by getting progressively slower until it's a wall of noise with Kurt and Corey screaming like mad men. Very chaotic and amazing. "Alright, we got one more song for you guys"



Fuck.





They play Blowtorch. I pray that this is some sick joke. The sign said they were going on at 10 and we made it back to the venue at 10:01. They finish the song and come out for an encore. They close out with Tantrum. Sweet as hell but I was about ready to cry that I had missed the entire set and literally caught four songs.

Most of the shows I have been to had a 'once you leave, you cant come back in' policy, so I had to stick it out if I wanted to see the band(s) towards the end.

There's really only one venue like that around here. The place where shows typically happen here (a giant basement) just put an X on your hand and you're free to come and go as you please. I usually always stay but Taco Bell, man... Taco Bell..
