On their 2nd LP 'Chamberlain Waits', passionate Pennsylvanian quartet The Menzingers add a heavy dose of melody to their raucous punk rock. Raw & energetic, yet catchy & accessible, the album reminds of a cross between Against Me! & early Gaslight Anthem, with a dose of The Clash thrown in. While it still has some filler, 'Chamberlain Waits' is more consistent than the band's debut & is all the better for the greater focus on some fantastic guitar lines. The gruff dual vocals may still be the clincher for listeners, although there are many satisfying sing-alongs throughout. Recommended Tracks: Time Tables, Deep Sleep, Who's Your Partner & Chamberlain Waits.
