It's the vocalist that ruins this album for me.

Totally understand your perspective Libson, his voice is the most lacking part of the music, but voices have never been my bag (see favorite band - Fugazi). Also, if you like prog metal you probably will not like this slower building stuff, you'd probably hear it as monotonous. Wow I'm assuming a lot about you...

Didn't like this at first, but I felt like the second half was stronger on first listen. Seems like a bit of a grower.

Well put Mike. That's why I mentioned to someone a few pages back to try listening to the album out of order, or backwards or something. The 2nd half is initially under-whelming, but really has some strong songs as they grow on you.



Give it a few more listens Mike. Could be a 4 in no time.

i'm going to have to listen this a few more times on some good headphones, first couple of listens it tended to bore me at times but then some songs really stood out. like mike i think this could grow on me

It's definitely a grower. I actually don't have an issue with people saying it seemed a little boring on the first couple of listens. Songs like 'After Glow' & 'What Remains' (even 'Black Gold') didn't do a great deal for me initially. But eventually, they all became highlight contenders.

I heard a few tracks and enjoyed. Will immerse later.
