This album is so forgettable for me. I really enjoyed 'Great White Whale' but this one seems to lack in hooks, lyrics, melodies, and riffs. The instrumentation is there, but the songs just come across very boring. The band is definitely talented, and their sound is definitely very cool, the songs just aren't there this time. And it is a lot softer then their last album. Meh. I'll keep it in my collection, but it won't be on heavy rotation.

And yes, his vocals do actually get tiring this time around. Not one song is a 10/10, while most are 7.5/8 out of 10's/ The first 3 tracks are the best, and 'Pretty Snarl' is sort of a pointless interlude. 'GGW' kills it in every department except one: this album has awesome bass lines, and the main reason why I will listen to this CD.

Good to hear you love it Milton... I mean Sean. LOL. Saw Stephen Root in 24 the other day & hardly recognized him when he didn't have a red stapeler around him!

All are fairly valid points Patrick. I do agree about the hooks & lyrics. The melodies & riffs are there I think though. I also wouldn't say it's a softer album either. I probably should have mentioned the basslines in the review a little more.Hopefully it will grow on you a little.
