Never fully understood the bonobo love/fame.
Any fans like Little People?

^ check out his Boiler Room sets on youtube and some of the hype may translate
|

Little people is ok bonobos early stuff is way better than any of that stuff tho imo
I can see not liking bonobo but not sure wats not to understand bout the hype, he’s pretty much the most prominent progenitor of the third wave of downtempo music by a mile. Little People, for instance, probably wouldn’t exist without him.

this has good songs that are good
and they sound good if you listen to them
and you can listen to them without listening to the other songs on this album
because if you listen to all of it together it most def is, uh, pretty okay

idk guys this is a little uneven but really quite good? Maybe an intro to downtempo moment / wonder what I’d think now, because admittedly I don’t check in full anymore 🤔

Kiara is a goated track tbh

IMO the only real stinkers here are el toro, we could forever, t/t and animals. Perhaps not coincidentally these are the tracks that sound most like a live band. And they’re not even *bad* they’re just boring and easy skips. The rest varies from okay-good-rad
1009 was probably the first 2-step influenced track I ever heard..
