"Pablo Honey" is a actually a terrible attempt by Radiohead but compared to their later work which
is excellent, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because it is their first album, I suppose. I
do like songs on this album such as: "Creep" (obviously), Anyone Can Play Guitar", and "Stop
Whispering", and that is it. This album is completely bullshit. I do not think that Radiohead was
trying to play complex (not note), not trying to their full ability (because this album was just so
that they can cash out and be on MTV), and they have admittingly note this... Just look how much
"Creep" was on during that time period? It was on too much on the radio and MTV. It is still a great
and a legendary song even too this day though. They were completely a Nirvana rip-off...
Amnesiac - 6/5
OK Computer - 5/5
Hail to the Thief (tied for 3rd)- 4.75/5
Kid A (tied for 3rd) - 4.75/5
In Rainbows - 4/5
The Bends - 3.5/5
The King of Limbs - 3/5
Pablo Honey -2/5
I feel as if "Amnesiac" and "Hail to the Thief" are completely the lone wolves of their entire
discography and they do not have any attention towards them, I guess in a way, that's good. Amnesiac
was demoted because of Kid A was just released, and Hail to the Thief was the same, they cannot get
over Kid A... I feel as if people do not like their more experimental rock, art rock, and borderline
progressive rock (especially with "Hail to the Thief") themes, but those albums have showcased of
what Radiohead would do in their later discography, but with more experimentation, art rock,
electronica, and less heavy tracks but more clean production. Albums such as for example, "The King
of Limbs" have made more electronica and less rock elements into their repertoire, they're even
incorporating dubstep, trip hop, etc, etc. There were barely any alternative feels and sounds that
they're hardly rock these days, they're going towards that direction. There is also hardly any art
rock elements in their discography on their future albums but I would assume that they're more
progressive rock with elements of electronica and art rock, besides that they're not even considered
to be a alternative band these days.
