I’ve only spent around 5 listens with the record so far, but first spin impressions were certainly first half > second half and the closing 1-2 punch didn’t hit as hard as i expected/hoped. A few more listens though l appreciate how reserved they are, lyrically and aesthetically. I’m still a newbie though lol I’ll leave the lyrical analysis to you both for now.

Check goths next! it's like the exact opposite of this sound wise but the writing is every bit as sharp, good album for music nerds in particular I think

I have sunset tree 5d but always kinda nervous about trying his other hi prod stuff as I didn’t enjoy the album with the dragon on it. Curious about Tallahassee and the one with the song about Georgia which is the best song by anyone everywhere ever.

His high prod stuff is so hit or miss, but in league with dragons was his biggest miss ever imo. I would give more stuff a try.
