but this is like pop punk, 30+ years ago! fun album is fun
and this was far from my first 10 punk albums, very far. didn't give a hoot about this band until I
figured out it had Johnny Rotten on it.

Nah this is way more of a traditional rock and roll album that just happened to be part of the punk movement
It's in no way indicative of the punk sound except for the attitude and some of the lyrics
The Clash were way more prototypical punk

well, yeah, I tend to like traditional rock and roll a lot. listening to this album makes me want to listen to pop punk, which doesn't happen often (anymore).

Everything that needs to be said is here hid behind a garish cover and a rrrrollling vocal sneer. An album made before my existence that speaks to me more than almost anything in music. An absolute classic, blighted by the fact the man who said "Don't be told what you want and don't be told what you need" went on to flog butter. Oh well.

Things needed to be said, they said it in a way that still holds weight. In terms of Musical technicalities it's called never mind the bollocks for a reason
