I've actually only listened to TMV high once about a year ago and it was the 32 minute cassandra gemini song. All I recall is that it

sounded like an ocean....an ocean of sound man

edit: But yeah, getting over my usage of italics, how long ago was that?

I remember so many times listening to the second half of Cygnus, Vismund Cygnus and just being completely entranced by it. Seriously nothing like The Mars Volta for that state of mind imo. But it's just not the same anymore, I can't listen to them now that I'm familiar with At the Drive-In's discography.

And that would be like 4 years ago I guess.

Frances and Deloused are designated for long car rides.

I occasionally will play an amputechture song for kicks. And I never listen to Octahedron or Bedlam. However with the first two I still get the same vibes they originally gave me, so they'll pretty much always be sacred. Hopefully I'll rejoin the Volta fandom when their new lp comes out.

Yeah, actually I find that Amputechture is the one that always gets me to actually spin some Volta every once in a while. So sad when this happens to bands I love(d). Happened pretty hard with The Fall of Troy too, musta listened to Doppelganger and the ghostship demos literally 300+ times, and I haven't listened to them at all in months and months.

Well when I was 5 I overplayed The Beatles.

But then I came back to them around 9 or 10 and found them to be quite pleasant.

*true story*

You're welcome, Brick. And yeah I listened to a lot of the Beatles when I was a kid too, gotta love parents who know what to play for an impressionable 5 yr old.
