In the review he never mentions that he expected a black metal album, and it is pretty obvious that he didn't ... but I also find it to be pretty clear that he expected something very different. It's like he expected the album to be downright catchy and musically exciting when clearly it's all about the vibe and emotion it expresses. To put it cheesy, I'd say he listened to the music so closely that he forgot to feel it along the way.

i really liked this at first but idk it wore off me. it's still good. first two tracks are really great. i love the vocals probably my favorite part about this. so subdued but really beautiful. i love when the vocals meld with the music like this rather than being in it's own category
