This album could really use a full re-recording. No remaster will help its overall sound.

Even back in the day, these guys were the weakest of the new tech/prog death that was getting big. Patrick Mameli jumped on the bandwagon, but he still hasn't figured out how to actually do it.

This album is pretty clunky but it’s got tons of great moments. I think they couldve easily ironed out the flaws and made a successor to this that would’ve gone hard as fuck. I gladly take this over anything they made afterwards

this is cooler than I remember, having only given it a cursory little dabble in the past

I’m already liking it more than Testimony (which is decent btw).

In January I said, "No remaster will help its overall sound," but i was wrong. The remaster that dropped last Friday makes this much more listenable. Give that version a try, if you can.

That’s what I’m listening to!

The biggest boost was awarded to the debut imo, but overall it’s a very good set of remasters. Pleasantly surprised.

Hmm, I wouldn’t go that far but it is rather good

Surely Atheist are a cut above, also?

Man I’m the opposite, I’d rather listen to this, Focus or Atheist over the last two Death albums

Symbolic > everything, but yeah TSOP ain’t all that and I’d take this over it for sure.

Atheist’s first two are god-tier. Elements is also better than TSOP (and probably this), but can’t hold a candle to other proggy Death

Hell no. Human and Individual Thought Patterns are better than Symbolic. So is Focus, Spheres, and Unquestionable Presence.
